Our New Research Vessel ‘Marine 2’

2024 - ongoing

Our newly refurbished 24-metre ‘Marine 2’ has embarked on its journey as a research vessel, marking the beginning of a landmark collaboration focused on research, training, and environmental restoration in Shark Bay, an area significantly impacted by marine heatwaves.

In the spirit of partnership and community support, The Jock Clough Marine Foundation offered Marine 2 to the Indigenous-owned and operated Tidal Moon for its exclusive use to empower their mission of seagrass restoration.

Additionally, the Western Australian Marine Science Institution (WAMSI) and its partners will conduct scientific research as part of this groundbreaking initiative in Shark Bay.

Together, we are committed to advancing marine science and fostering a healthier marine ecosystem.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting venture!
