The Foundation thanks these donors for their much-appreciated and strategically important support.

The Foundation was the principal driver and a key financial supporter to restore and improve not only the iconic Swan River estuary but also other locations across Western Australia.

In 2020, the Federal Government's significant investment of $20 million through the ‘Reef Builder’ program further validated The Nature Conservancy's approach. The $3.8 million allocated to the Swan-Canning, Peel-Harvey Estuary, and Albany enabled the completion of our initial shellfish reef restoration efforts.

This collaborative effort exemplifies the power of early-stage research, trials, and private investment to influence conservation initiatives and secure Federal Government funding. The willingness of organisations and individuals to support such innovative solutions paves the way for a healthier future for the Swan River and other degraded estuaries and embayments.
